Constructed on the site of the former Shredded Wheat Factory, adjacent to Welwyn Garden City town centre and railway station, the scheme comprises 208 mixed-tenure apartments designed to support contemporary urban living within a well-connected location.

Working in close partnership with Higgins Construction and the wider design team, I-MEX provided all labour, plant, and materials required to complete the M&E and public health installation across the development.

The project involved detailed collaboration between the contractor, consultants, and design teams to ensure that all services were integrated efficiently within the architectural layout and construction programme.
Particular attention was given to coordinating basement plant areas, service distribution routes, and specialist systems to maximise performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
The inclusion of EV charging infrastructure also supported the development’s sustainability objectives and future-ready design approach.
